am complaining from myself to myself … may be i can release the current stress i feel

as the month of september begins , it just a few days then comes the day that my mother wake me in the early morning and shout ( Zeyad , wake Up , u must go the game3a and attend all ur lectures , u must take ur bechlor degree this year ) ,, ohh… the university is back again and i must do that go from El Haram to Helwan at least five times a week ..

this is the final year ,, i must go to the university soon and look for a suitalble graduation project with nice doctor ;-) ..

Please friends , remeber me when u pray and ask GOD the sucesses for me and for all the Students ..

i don’t know if u all know this or no but i’m a student in Helwan University , Faculty Of Engineering ..Communication Department and that’s is My 7th year in University.

Welcome to the supersize special section.
What I’d like to do on this page is to try to upgrade your ‘mental’ software to give you the skills, tips and tricks that will fast-track you to a pay rise, promotion, paid time off or anything else you would like from your job.

If you are thinking that standing out in an interview is hard then you can blame it on the ‘software’ your brain is using at work. Let’s explore that and see how with some simple re-programming the doors of opportunity will open up for you…

First, let me show you how simple it is to re-program your BRAIN.

Your brain learns from repitition. The more you do something, the better you get. This explains why you fell off your bike when you first learned to ride, but now you don’t. It’s why you see job ads asking for five years experience. The employer thinks that five years experience should be suitable time for a person to be good at a job – which you and I know can be utterly ridiculous.

So I’m going to re-program your brain with this simple repitition exercise. Actually do this ok?

Say ‘shop’ ten times…

Say ‘hop’ ten times…

Say ‘cop’ ten times…

Now – what do you do at a green traffic light? STOP, right? WRONG… you GO! Reallistically, this exercise works better when I verbally give you the instructions, but most people will say or at least think ‘STOP’ when asked the question at the end.

While the example is relatively simplistic the theory is pretty sound. In order to see things in a different way you need to break the programming of your brain.

And that’s the purpose of these newsletters – breaking the programming that is hindering your chances of promotion, pay rise or anything else you want from your job – an employer funded business perhaps?

Impossible you say? That’s because your programming is telling you it’s impossible.

If you have repeatedly been passed over for interviews and jobs then your programming will tell you that it’s hard to get those things. That’s repitition at work. Earning the same salary for the last few years programs you to think you are only worth that amount of money. Break that mental programming and get the job, pay raises, more time off, promotions and becoming part of the inner circle at your business becomes becomes signifigantly easier.

You will see how other readers have achieved all these things and more. Haven’t you ever wondered how idiots get into management while good employees get laid off or passed over for promotion? The reason is that employees generally have the skill, experience or programming needed to work IN the business while managers have the skills, experience or programming to work ON the business… and you don’t need me to tell you that a lot of managers have some pretty darn buggy programming.

So while a mechanic might have the programming necessary to be able to fix cars, it’s the manager that has the programming necessary to run the business and make sure that the mechanic has enough cars to fix so the company can make money. The manager probably gets paid more and probably wouldn’t know how to fix a car.

LESSON #1: “Scanning your Brain for Viruses that stop you getting what you want”

You might remember from our first chapter that your brain is a computer that learns from repitition. Like any computer your brain can be infected with a “virus” that stops it performing properly… not a biological virus but a mental virus.
Quite often the thing standing between you and the job or whatever else it is you want from your job is your own preconceptions which can act like a virus.

Maybe you’ve been passed over many times, or just can’t get interest in your application and you now believe that this is normal. Perhaps you have been passed over for promotion so many times that you are beginning to doubt yourself and management. Maybe you take your ideas to the wrong person and they never get implemented and you think that management doesn’t want your input.

These are the sorts of viruses that can kill your career so let me show you how to remove them so you can start getting more out of your working life.

As you probably know, viruses are short bits of code that cause alot of damage. In your brain the virus code can look like this…

I don’t have the skills to get hired
OR
There aren’t many opporunities at work
OR
My company would never fund my own business or department
OR
It would be hard to get another job if I was to leave
OR
I need a degree before I have any hope of a promotion

I think you get the idea. The problem is if you think like this then you are severely limiting your chances to get a new job or “supersize” the one you have.

Let me give you the anti virus program and then show you how other readers have used it to their advantage. First the Anti-Virus program:

STOPNOTICETHINK.

Just to program your brain, let me repeat that…

STOPNOTICETHINK.
STOP… NOTICETHINK.
STOP… NOTICETHINK.

Done. Now here’s how you use this tricky piece of code.

STOP:
This is simple, stop thinking about your negative preconceptions about the position and your chances of being hired.

NOTICE:
Look around you in the industry and locate areas where money or time is wasted or service is poor or anything else that could be improved.

THINK:
Start thinking about ways to reduce costs or improving the things you noticed. It could be increasing performance/efficiency, customer service or whatever else needs fixing at your work.

Don’t lose the power of this… I know it’s pretty simple but let’s see how one reader used it to set up her career path:

Jane had worked on the reception desk at a popular hotel for about 4 years. She had never been promoted and was sure that management wouldn’t know a good employee if he/she bit them on the… you get the idea.

To break this cycle she STOPPED thinking like that.

Next she started to look around her and NOTICED… On weekends, reception was flat out with long queues of people trying to check out all at the same time.This was a real pain both to the customers and receptionists as the longer the wait the grumpier the customer.

So she THOUGHT… If guests could get their bills delivered with their newspapers in the morning, they could fill in their credit card number, sign the bill and drop the key into the provided envelope which could then be dropped into an express check out box and they could then leave.

Now what I’m about to tell you is the KEY

Management’s perception of Jane changed fundamentally when she told them her idea. Before they perceived her as being just a receptionist with nice legs. Now they perceived her as CAPABLE of working on the business and not just in it, and instead of just being interviewed for the management position, she was able to take control and tell them how to improve and grow their business—a fundamental shift.

More importantly Jane started to think differently about the business and came up with more ideas to improve service. I am happy to report that she got the new job.

Now I know you probably are aware of this stuff but I need to reinforce the POWER of your ideas when implemented in the RIGHT way. Lots of employees have good ideas but they don’t know the right way to turn them into a promotion or financial opportunities so they keep the ideas to themselves and get passed over for positions.

LESSON #2: “Grow any business by up to 33% or more.”

Let’s look at a simple piece of “software” you can use to potentially grow any business by 33% or MORE… You’ve probably seen it on our website but remember that thing about repitition? Here it is again because this simple strategy opens up all sorts of ideas and opportunities for you.
First off, know that the company you work for is in business to make money. That’s it. And in order to make this money it needs to do three things and only three things…

Get more customers.
Sell them more.
Get them to come back more often.
Your present or future job somehow contributes to one or all of these processes – and is dependant on the success of these processes.
Before you think that these processes really belong to sales and marketing, thnk about this:

A house-keeper in a hotel gets customers to come back by making sure the rooms they clean are spotless and smelling fresh. A customer walking into a dirty room will “bad mouth” that hotel to their friends, relatives and neighbors making getting more customers much more difficult. So, house keepers are pretty important when it comes to getting more customers, and getting them to come back more.

If you sat down and thought about it, you’d begin to see how your job or the job you want to get contributes to this process in the company.

Now here’s the thing… the manager of the housekeeping department isn’t cleaning the rooms. He or she is working ON the department making sure that it meets budget, and that the hotel standards are being met so the hotel can get more customers, sell them more and get them to come back. Yet they get paid more and have more perks than the housekeepers doing the actual work.

Back to programming your brain. We have to start somwhere and using the “3 Ways to Grow your Company” is the start for you.

Suppose a small business has 1,000 customers who spend $20, five times a year… the sales or revenue for the company is $100,000.

Because of bad (or old) programming, most people would try to GROW this business by getting more customers. To grow the business 33% or $33,000 they’d try to get 330 more customers, which is A LOT of customers for this small business.

There’s an EASY way to do the same thing which opens the door to all sorts of ideas and strategies that will get you quickly noticed in an interview.

If we could just get 100 more customers, sell them (on average) another $2 more of our products or services, and persuade 10% of them to visit our business an extra time this year – we would also grow the business 33% or $33,000.

Customers X Average Sale X Visits Per Year = Revenue
Before 1,000 X $20 X 5 = $100,000
After 1,100 X $22 X 5.5 = $133,000

33% Increase in Gross Sales: $33,000!!
I’m pretty sure you could achieve these things now yourself after all, they’re not big increases by any measure.
You could advertise more, put your prices up or do the McDonald’s “Do you want fries with that?” thing plus maybe write to the customers of the business.

And here’s the best part… YOU don’t have to be the one to do any of those things. Simply do this exercise substituting the figures from your own company and then show your potential boss how you think you have a way to grow the business 33%...

This will certainly get you noticed!

Use the ideas in our book to give your potential boss simple strategies and ideas you will probably get promoted or a pay rise.

The point is that the company you want to work for probably has managers responsible for making these things happen. You can ask to work with them to help implement your ideas, or you can use the tactics in our report to get a you employed quickly.

LESSON #3: “No Brainer way to increase word of mouth advertising”

Last week I hit you with a big piece of theory… “3 Ways to Grow your Business”. Maybe you agreed that getting a 10% increase in each area was easy and then again maybe you didn’t. Today I’m going to show you the single biggest marketing opportunity on the planet and the best part is that most marketing people never see it. The reason they don’t see it is they try too hard to be clever… you don’t need to be clever as you will see in the story below. I should also point out that I have a friend, Murray, who earned about $250,000 last year by becoming a consultant in this area using little more than variations on the story I’m about to show you.
Please don’t shut down now because you aren’t in sales. Remember… Stop Notice Think… it doesn’t matter if you work in accounts, the shop floor or Timbuktu many readers have taken ideas similar to what I’m about to show you to their bosses and have started the process to super-sizing their jobs.

You’ll recall that one way to grow your business was to get more customers. Here’s a cute story that focuses on getting more “Word of Mouth Customers”. Nearly every business has word of mouth advertising but they don’t put any resources into it…

Generating more word of mouth advertising is as simple as saying something like: “Mrs Smith, we would like to have more customers like you in our business. If you have any friends, relatives or neighbors that may be interested in our services, could you tell them about us please?”

That’s the basics and with good offers and well crafted letters you can create an avalanche of word of mouth customers… like in this story…

One of the attendees at a seminar of mine ran a house cleaning business, and thought he’d give this referral idea a try.
One day he got a phone call from a lady who wanted her house cleaned. He asked if she knew anyone else in her area that may want their house cleaned as well, because he could reduce the price for all of them. She rang back an hour later with the names of 4 people that also wanted their houses cleaned. Four new clients simply from asking for referrals.

The following day he received another call from a lady in the same area wanting her house cleaned as well. More than that, she had 6 other people wanting their houses cleaned — and could she have the same deal?

It turned out that she had asked her neighbor for the phone number of the house cleaner. The neighbor had told her that she had to find other people who wanted their houses cleaned before the guy would make the trip.

The second lady thought that finding other people interested in having their houses cleaned was a condition of doing business with the house cleaner! So one phone call turned into 10 new customers for the house cleaner simply because he asked for referrals.

See how easy it is?
You don’t have to ask for referrals over the phone, you can send letters or a host of other approaches which we show you in the manual. The real point is that this is one of the BEST low-cost, low-tech marketing tools on the planet and hardly any business does a thing about it.

Let me take you back a chapter and you’ll recall that one of the targets for growing the business by 33% or more was to get 10% more customers… well if just 10% of your customers referred just one friend… you have achieved your first target AND you have grown the business 10% while you were at it.

I know a dentist that makes referrals a condition of doing business with him… you have to tell at least two other people about him or you aren’t allowed back. Does it work? If you think an increase in business of 300% qualifies as some sort of success then I guess it does. He also runs a dental surgery worth referring which is a big help. One of the big referring points is his guarantee… NO PAIN… wouldn’t you want a dentist who could guarantee that? But that’s another story altogether.

Has the company you’d like to work for been IGNORING it’s client-base? Do you think they could successfully use a variation of this idea? How do you think they’d react if you walked into the interview and said something like: “Your company sells X—and I realize you’re considering hiring me to do Y, but I have a way to possibly help you increase sales 10% over the next year. Now – we can talk about my last 3 jobs for an hour, or we can talk about your company’s future. It’s your call…”

You bet you’d have their attention. And you’d definately stand out as an applicant. And at the SAME TIME, you could possibly disqualify every other interviewee who doesn’t bring extra ideas for the company with them.

These days, employees that can work ON the business and not just IN the business are being increasingly sought after. Make yourself one of them.

Remember the dentist that guarantees NO PAIN?
Let me show you the simple strategy this dentist used to make his dental surgery one of the most sought-after business models on the planet. More than that, I’m going to show you how to apply it to the company YOU work for too… and there is no marketing or sales stuff involved.

The secret to creating a business where customers will beat a path to your door is to find out the biggest frustrations and fears customers experience dealing with your business or businesses in your industry and then do the opposite.

We’re going to do it RIGHT NOW for a DENTIST… and you can do it at your work tomorrow, or apply this thinking to any business you’d like to work for.

So what are the biggest frustrations or fears when visiting a dentist?

You are always kept waiting for your appointment time
Dental surgeries look and smell sterile
PAIN… visiting a dentist hurts.
Let’s leave it there and see what we can come up with to solve those frustrations and fears.here’s what I came up with…

We guarantee that your appointment will be ON TIME. We encourage you to come early and relax in your very own waiting room equipped with TV, books and magazines.
Our reception area looks, smells and feels like a coffee shop complete with cappucino machine and freshly baked muffins. All of which we will prepare for you and take to your waiting room.
We guarantee NO PAIN. Because we don’t have queues of waiting patients to get through, we take our time, taking it slowly and gently… you have a pain button that you can push when you are uncomfortable and we will stop… applying more gas or whatever you need to make the experience as pain free as possible.
That will do for the moment… sounds like a pretty fantastic dental practice doesn’t it? Wouldn’t you like a dentist like that? Would you refer your friends to a dentist like that? You bet you would… and this is EXACTLY what you will find if you visit Paddi Lund at his Dental Surgery in Brisbane Australia. Here’s the best bit… you won’t find him in the phone book as he only works on referrals. If you remember from the last chapter, giving referrals was a condition of him doing business with you. Don’t you just love that?
He has written a book on how he did all this… and is on the international speaking circuit teaching other dentists and business owners how to do the same. Basically it’s what I just showed you. Oh yes, nearly forgot… Paddi Lund is probably one of the most expensive dentists in town… but people still flock to his business.

Now let’s apply all this to you and the business you want to work for. What are the biggest frustrations their customers face dealing with them or the industry as a whole?

If you can’t be objective enough, ask the business’s customers… they will tell you.

The only skill you need for this strategy is the ability to think and think objectively… remember STOP NOTICE THINK. You have to break the programming that has made a business look like every other business in your industry… and don’t for a moment think that any business is THAT different. In a potential customer’s eyes… you’re all pretty much the same.

Don’t believe me… look at hotels or video stores… they’re all pretty much the same and sell the same things for about the same price. Whatever difference there is is kind of small… to be successful you want a BIG difference, one that makes you stand out from the crowd… that’s what Paddi Lund did and that’s what you can do too…

LESSON #5: “Are you an expense or an asset?”

Let me digress and tell you how they do business on Mars. On Mars the maritans buy plant and equipment, and then buy a person with the necessary skills to work in the business. The plant, equipment and person appear in the assets column of their balance sheets. Any upgrades to the machinery and training of the person increases the value of those assets.
On earth we do it backwards. We buy plant and equipment and then RENT a person with the necessary skills. Those that know accounting would know that renting anything is an EXPENSE. Most businesses try to reduce their expenses at every opportunity which is why good employees get laid off.. that wouldn’t happen on Mars. So employees don’t appear as an asset on our balance sheets, they appear on the profit and loss report.

The solution here would be to look at ways of reducing expenses while turning yourself into an asset. The best part is that you probably already have ideas RIGHT NOW that could save time, paperwork, money and other expenses in your business. Tell your boss about your ideas and you start to become an asset to the business. Get yourself off the expense side of the equation and your job security and promotion possiblilities greatly increase… more so if you live or work on Mars.

One of the case studies you will see in our manual, shows how a chef increased profits in a restaurant around $2,000 a week by changing some ingredients in their menu and eliminating high cost/low margin dishes. There were no sales or marketing techniques here.

The simple fact is that we all see areas where the company we work for is wasting money. Maybe you waste paper printing reports that no-one reads or that could be emailed, not to mention the time wasted in preparing such reports. All this adds up and eats into the profit of your organisation. Look around you and identify areas where money is being wasted. Come up with ideas and strategies to plug the holes where your company’s “leaks” money and take them to your boss.
